Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a data science and analytics professional to accelerate the transformation of risk management into a data-driven function.

This role will support the development of analytics, dashboards, and intelligent monitoring capabilities that strengthen assurance, provide early warning signals, and enable management to make timely risk decisions. Working closely with business and risk stakeholders, you will need to build scalable data products that enhance control effectiveness, improve risk surveillance, and provide an integrated view of the internal and external risk environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data-driven assurance

• Transform traditional assurance activities into data-driven and continuously monitored processes.
• Develop analytics that assess control effectiveness, identify anomalies, and detect emerging control weaknesses.
• Build repeatable analytics that support thematic reviews, deep dives and assurance engagements.
• Establish data assets that enable evidence-based risk assessments across business units.

Risk Intelligence & Control Tower

• Assist in the design and development of a Risk Control Tower providing a consolidated view of key risk indicators across the GCD
• organization.
• Develop predictive and leading indicators to identify emerging risks before they materialize.
• Build monitoring capabilities covering operational risk, fraud, scams, customer issues, regulatory development and other emerging threats.
• Conduct quality assurance testing and thematic reviews, not limited to account opening checks, process and operational checks, and the continuous auditing of GCD units for regulatory compliance.

Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement

• Design executive dashboards and management reporting using modern visualization platforms.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for senior management.
• Automate reporting processes to improve timeliness and consistency.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant experience in data science, statistics computer science or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Mature, responsible, and highly driven
• Able to work independently and in a team
