Reserving Analyst - Syndicate

This is an excellent opportunity for an actuarial professional with 2-4 years' reserving experience to join a growing business and gain exposure to a broad range of specialty classes.

You'll work closely with experienced actuaries, underwriters and finance stakeholders, playing a key role in the quarterly reserving process and contributing to business-critical decision-making.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the quarterly reserving process across multiple syndicate classes.
Performing reserve analyses and investigating movements in reserving results.
Assisting with the production of reserving reports for senior management.
Supporting Solvency UK, regulatory reporting and audit requirements.
Working closely with underwriting teams to understand portfolio performance and emerging experience.
Contributing to reserving methodology enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
Supporting data analysis and reserving model development.
Collaborating with the wider actuarial team across reserving, capital and pricing activities where required.

About You

2-4 years of actuarial experience, with prior exposure to general insurance reserving.
Experience within the Lloyd's and/or London Market is highly desirable.
Progressing through the actuarial exams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable communicating technical findings to a range of stakeholders.
Experience using Excel and actuarial modelling tools; knowledge of SQL, Python or R would be advantageous.
A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
