cer Financial are working alongside a Real Estate Focused bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Credit Administration Officer.
The responsibilities of the Credit Administration Officer will include:
· Manage the end-to-end credit administration process from pre-disbursement through to post-completion.
· Prepare credit documentation, including term sheets, facility letters, addendums, borrower consents, and other lending documents.
· Ensure all lending documentation complies with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Business, Credit, Operations, Treasury, Monitoring, Remedial) and external parties (solicitors and valuers).
· Obtain fee quotes and instruct panel solicitors and valuers.
· Monitor the return of signed documentation and commitment fees.
· Review valuation reports and legal documentation, identifying risks and ensuring all lending conditions are met before disbursement.
· Manage the loan disbursement process, including booking loan limits and collateral in the banking system.
· Maintain regular communication with stakeholders throughout the lending process.
· Follow up on legal completion, security perfection, executed documents, and outstanding post-completion conditions.
· Maintain accurate filing systems, management information (MI), databases, and audit records.
· Update lending pipeline, collateral, insurance, valuation, review dates, and related data.
· Monitor property revaluations and liaise with valuers and relationship managers on findings.
· Meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
· Support audits, user acceptance testing (UAT), projects, and continuous improvement initiatives within Credit Administration.
· Comply with FCA/PRA Conduct Rules and maintain high standards of integrity, customer fairness, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will have:
· Experience in Credit Administration within banking.
· Knowledge of Buy-to-Let lending (residential and commercial).
· SME banking product knowledge.
· Experience with risk mitigation and control processes and technology.
· Understanding of credit documentation, security perfection, valuations, and collateral management.
· Knowledge of relevant banking laws and regulations.
· Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and database tools.
· Ability to review legal and valuation documentation.
· Experience maintaining lending records, databases, and management information.
