Data Analytics Governance Analyst

Hybrid (3/2 split)

Contract until end of March 2027

£405 - £690 per day (via Umbrella)

cer Financial are working alongside a great mid tier international bank, who are based in London. They are seeking an Data Analytics Governance Analyst to work with them on a contract.

The responsibilities will include:

1. Champion Data Analytics Governance standards and best practices.
2. Ensure consistent governance across analytics artefacts throughout their lifecycle.
3. Identify and classify Key Data Users and EUCs across EMEA.
4. Conduct gap analyses against policies and procedures.
5. Agree and track remediation actions with KDU/EUC owners.
6. Maintain the KDU and EUC catalogue and required metadata.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including BCBS239).
8. Keep governance inventories accurate and up to date.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders across all organisational levels.
10. Support bank-wide data governance initiatives and forums.
11. Produce regular reports, project updates, and respond to ad hoc information requests.

The candidate will have:

1. Experience establishing Analytics or EUC Governance frameworks.
2. Knowledge of BCBS239 and financial services regulatory requirements (ECB experience desirable).
3. Experience with governance and cataloguing tools (e.g. Collibra, Apparity).
4. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
5. Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and the analytics SDLC.
6. Experience with analytics platforms and governance tools.
7. Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
8. Understanding of data governance, data management, and data lineage.
9. Experience enabling enterprise self-service analytics.
10. Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements.
