What You'll Do as an Intern



As a Finance Controllership Intern, you'll gain exposure to meaningful work that builds your skills. Your responsibilities may include:

• Leading a self-directed continuous improvement project

• Reviewing and updating standard operating procedures


• Assisting with financial reporting and special projects


• Reconciling balance sheets


• Preparing statutory accounting schedules and documentation


• Supporting process automation initiatives


• Auditing expenses and preparing escheat filings


• Managing risk and controls, including testing and reporting


• Assisting with tax return preparation and filing

You'll leave with a deeper understanding of corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and how finance drives business strategy.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.



The national hourly pay range for Nationwide Internships is: $23 - $50
