The most charming woman in French banking will be charming elsewhere from now on

Dina Geha is a very charming person. Geha has been sufficiently charming and skilled to drive her team of developed Europe equity salespeople to the top of the Extel rankings for 10 years running. Now she is moving on.

Multiple sources say that Geha, who was the London-based global head of distribution at BNP Paribas, is leaving. It's not clear why. Geha didn't respond to our request to comment and BNP Paribas declined to comment on her absence. It's thought that she may have resigned.

Geha joined BNP from Exane and previously worked for HSBC and Merrill Lynch. It's thought that she was working with Aurélie Deleuze, BNP's deputy head of global cash equities, who is also based in London and has spent 23 years straight with BNP Paribas alone.

We don't know what Geha plans to do next. She is not the only ex-Exane person to part company with BNP Paribas. Jaafer Amrani, BNP's head of liquidity strategy for EMEA equities left earlier this month and other senior equities figures disappeared in May.

There are unconfirmed suggestions of cultural anomalies between the two French banks given Exane's historic high touch focus and BNP's historic derivative focus. However, they don't seem to have inhibited Geha's team from reaching the top of the Extel survey, again.
