About the role

We are working with a government agency on an integration-heavy technology programme where they are seeking an experienced Lead Integration Engineer to take ownership of the design, build and ongoing support of a suite of integration services connecting a Salesforce platform to Azure-based systems and other core business applications. This is a hands-on lead position you'll be building solutions yourself as well as setting the technical direction for how integration is done across the programme.

What you'll be doing

• Owning the end-to-end design and delivery of integration solutions that need to be secure, scalable and resilient in production
• Building enterprise APIs and event-driven services that let Salesforce, Azure and other systems talk to each other reliably
• Supporting broader data integration and migration work as the platform evolves
• Writing and maintaining clear technical documentation and integration specifications so the work is maintainable beyond you
• Bringing modern engineering discipline to the work, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and proactive monitoring once solutions are live
• Sitting on architecture reviews and governance forums, helping shape how integration decisions get made across the wider programme

What you'll bring

• Strong hands-on experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• Practical experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps
• Solid grounding in API-led connectivity, and comfort building both REST and SOAP services
• Genuine experience with event-driven architecture, microservices, and common integration patterns
• Prior integration work spanning both Salesforce and Azure ecosystems
• The ability to secure and troubleshoot integration solutions confidently this isn't a build-and-walk-away role
