Project Manager (Contract) - Private Markets Products (Wealth Channel)

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Product Specialist with deep expertise in Private Markets to support the development and delivery of strategic product initiatives for the Wealth channel. The role will play a key part in driving future business growth by providing market intelligence, investment strategy insights, and product expertise to create innovative private markets solutions for wealth clients across Europe.

Working closely with Investment, Distribution, and Product teams, the successful candidate will help shape private markets product strategy, evaluate market opportunities, and ensure robust governance throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist expertise on private markets products and strategic initiatives aimed at the Wealth channel.
• Bring market intelligence, industry insights, and investment strategy input to support the development of new private markets offerings.
• Advise on appropriate private markets strategies and product structures based on:
  
  • Aviva Investors' private markets investment capabilities
  • Market trends and competitor activity
  • Client feedback and distribution insights
• Partner with Distribution colleagues to attend client meetings, providing guidance on product structure options, features, and investment characteristics.
• Gather and communicate client intelligence and feedback to inform product design and strategic decision-making.
• Lead the preparation of Product Governance documentation for the Idea and Feasibility stages of product development.
• Ensure engagement with key stakeholders across the business and secure all required approvals throughout the governance process.
• Collaborate with Investment and Distribution teams to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and client needs.
• Provide product expertise, including regulatory considerations, market developments, and competitor analysis.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of solutions that enhance the private markets proposition for wealth clients.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience within Private Markets, ideally across asset classes such as Private Credit, Infrastructure, Real Estate, or Private Equity.
• Proven experience developing or supporting investment products for the Wealth channel.
• Excellent understanding of Wealth distribution channels across Europe.
• Strong knowledge of private markets product structures and investment strategies.
• Experience participating in client-facing discussions and translating client requirements into product solutions.
• Demonstrable experience managing product governance processes, including Idea and Feasibility stage approvals.
• Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements impacting investment products.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
• Commercially minded with the ability to analyse market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within an asset management or investment management environment.
• Knowledge of European wealth markets and private markets product distribution.
• Experience supporting strategic initiatives, product launches, or proposition development within private markets.
