Role Overview:
As a Senior Robotics Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting a growing consulting practice that bridges business challenges and robotics technology across complex outdoor sectors. You will contribute to client engagements, assisting from initial ideation and analysis through to requirements development and solution design. Working closely with clients and internal teams, you will apply robotics knowledge to help develop well-evidenced solution proposals. You will also support the development of consulting approaches and contribute to broader delivery and business activities within the team.
This is an opportunity where you will help shape the technical direction of the practice, working on real-world robotics challenges across multiple sectors, with the backing of the Reply Group and exposure to cutting-edge projects in outdoor, unstructured environments. The role combines remote work, client site engagement, and team collaboration, while offering ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to contribute to core product and consulting capability development. This is a hybrid-based role.

Responsibilities:
- Lead in-depth client engagements to understand business operations and identify challenges suitable for augmentation with robotics, assessing technical feasibility and commercial viability.
- Develop detailed technical and commercial requirements for potential robotics solutions, focusing on operations with the highest potential for impact and ROI.
- Oversee the design of system architectures based on a variety of robotics solutions, tailoring recommendations to each client's operational context and constraints in close collaboration with the implementation team
- Support clients through ideation processes where required, facilitating collaborative workshops and discovery sessions.
- Build and refine Roboverse Reply's consulting methodology, spanning ideation through to technical requirements and solution architecting.
- Support business development activities, including the preparation of proposals, bids, and grant applications (e.g., Innovate UK-funded projects).
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships across client organisations, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Work with the technical teams within Roboverse Reply UK to ensure solution proposals are both technically sound and commercially robust.
- Contribute to thought leadership, reputation building, and the development of Roboverse Reply's position as a recognised leader in the outdoor robotics sector.
About the Candidate:
- Degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or a Business/Management degree with strong technical understanding of automation and robotics technologies
- Significant consulting or industry experience (5+ years), with a proven track record of leading complex client engagements and delivering actionable recommendations
- Linked or transferable skills, along with consulting experience or a strong interest in consulting, are highly desirable
- Experience in robotics, automation, or a related technology sector, with understanding of integration challenges and core technologies such as ROS2, simulation, and interoperability frameworks
- Understanding of outdoor operational environments, including unstructured terrain, variable conditions, and safety considerations
- Experience with requirements engineering and systems thinking, and collaboration with engineering teams to design architectures
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior decision-makers
- Demonstrated experience in business development, proposal writing, and commercial strategy, alongside an entrepreneurial mindset suited to an early-stage venture environment
- Knowledge of the UK innovation ecosystem, including Innovate UK, Catapult centres (e.g., High Value Manufacturing Catapult, Satellite Applications Catapult), and academic research networks, is highly desirable
