Director of Business Development & Origination

Location: Philadelphia, PA or West Palm Beach, FL

Company Overview: We are currently partnered with a growing independent middle-market M&A advisory firm looking to add a Business Development & Origination Director to help scale its Building Products & Building Services practice. This opportunity is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives on building relationships, generating opportunities, and winning advisory mandates. The role offers the opportunity to play a direct role in the growth of an established advisory business with significant long-term upside.

This Director will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining relationships with founders, executives, private equity investors, and key industry participants.
• Identifying, sourcing, and originating new M&A advisory opportunities.
• Growing the firm's presence across the Building Products and Building Services sectors.
• Winning new advisory mandates and expanding the firm's client base.
• Partnering with the firm's execution team to successfully bring transactions through closing.
• Assisting in the development and leadership of a growing business development platform.

Ideal Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of generating opportunities, developing relationships, and winning new business.
• Background in Business Development, Origination, Investment Banking, M&A Advisory, Private Equity, Corporate Development, Building Products, Building Services, or related industries.
• Strong relationships within Building Services sectors such as HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical Services, Fire Protection, Roofing, Restoration, Landscaping, Tree Care, Pest Control, Pool Services, or adjacent markets.
• Experience developing relationships with founders, owners, executives, and key industry decision-makers.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to help build and manage a growing team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a business and participate in its long-term success.
