Join a leading Australian university undertaking a major Cybersecurity and Data Governance transformation program designed to strengthen security, improve user experience and protect critical university systems and information. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging Change & Communications professional to gain exposure to a large-scale enterprise transformation program while working alongside experienced change leaders and technical specialists.
Your new role
As the Change & Communications Analyst, you will support the Change Manager in delivering change and communications activities across a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives. The university is currently undertaking significant upgrades to its security firewall infrastructure and security providers, alongside several key cyber projects including BYOD, Zero Trust, RBAC, Passkeys/Okta, EDR and Windows Fleet Remediation.This role will focus heavily on stakeholder communications, user engagement and end-user readiness, helping staff understand upcoming changes and successfully transition to new technologies and ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the Change Manager across multiple cyber and technology initiatives

Conducting change impact assessments and readiness assessments for business and end-user groups

Developing communication plans, stakeholder engagement activities and communication collateral

Creating FAQs, intranet content, email communications, training schedules and awareness campaigns

Supporting communications relating to firewall, security and infrastructure upgrades across the university

Maintaining stakeholder maps, impact registers, communication plans and change trackers

Supporting rollout activities and measuring adoption and business readiness

Tracking change outcomes, user feedback and benefits realisation activities

Working closely with project teams, technical specialists, UX teams and business stakeholders

Ensuring a consistent change, communications and engagement approach across the broader cyber program

What you'll need to succeed

2-4 years' experience in Change Management, Communications, Organisational Change or related roles

Experience supporting technology, infrastructure, digital transformation or cybersecurity projects

Strong written communication skills with the ability to create engaging communications for diverse audiences

Experience developing communication plans, stakeholder engagement activities and change artefacts

Ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments and readiness assessments

Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Experience working within project or program environments

Familiarity with change management methodologies such as Prosci is desirable.

Higher Education experience is highly regarded but not essential.
