Financial Accountant | Hybrid Working (3 Days) - Macquarie Park | $110,000-$120,000 + Super + 10% Bonus
We are partnering with an organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into their high-performing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious first or second mover from Big 4 or Mid-Tier to join a business that genuinely invests in career development and internal progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, trial balance reviews and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly board reporting packs, executive summaries, variance analysis and financial commentary.
- Support statutory reporting, annual audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening financial processes and reporting capabilities across the business.
- Partner with Treasury, FP&A, Tax and operational teams to ensure accurate, timely and insightful reporting.
- Maintain technical accounting policies and provide guidance on Australian Accounting Standards.
About you:
- CA qualified with 3-5 years' experience, ideally making your first or second move from a Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally including exposure to AASB standards and financial instruments.
- Analytical and commercially minded with a proactive, curious approach to problem solving.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys building relationships across the business and taking ownership of outcomes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage and reporting tools including Power BI will be highly regarded.
